Private support for older people in their own homes
Unhurried, kind and dependable care from one person you get to know, so that daily life at home stays comfortable and familiar.
About Sea
Hello, I'm Sea
I trained as a teacher in Bangkok, gaining a Bachelor of Education in English from Dhonburi Rajabhat University. From 2003 to 2007 I taught at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, where I learned patience, clear communication and how to put people at ease.
I came to England in 2008 and have lived in north London ever since, raising my family and running our home.
In the last years of my mother-in-law's life, I cared for her at home. That meant helping her wash and dress, supporting her to the toilet, helping her eat, and being there through the ordinary parts of every day. It taught me what good care really means: dignity, routine, kindness and being a calm presence for the whole family.
I now offer private care in north London, with the same warmth and attention I would want for my own family.
What I can help with
Support that fits around the person
-
Personal care
Help with washing, dressing, using the toilet and eating. What I do is agreed with each person and their family beforehand, and nothing happens that hasn't been asked for.
-
Companionship
Time spent together: conversation, shared interests, a walk or a cup of tea. Company that is relaxed and unrushed.
-
Meals
Planning and preparing food the way the person likes it, and sitting down to eat together where that is welcome.
-
Dementia support
Patient, reassuring support that respects each person's history, preferences and pace.
-
Help with routines
Keeping the day familiar and predictable, with gentle prompts and a steady rhythm that suits the person and their family.
How I work
Getting to know you first
- We begin with a conversation with the person and their family about likes, dislikes, daily habits and what makes them feel at ease.
- You engage me and pay me directly, either yourself or through someone acting under a power of attorney, and I work to your instructions.
- I work alone and never send anyone in my place, so the same person arrives each time and trust can grow.
- Care is agreed in plain language beforehand, so everyone knows what to expect.
Checks and status
What you can rely on
Enhanced DBS check. My application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (the criminal records check used for care work) is in progress.
Self-employed. I work independently, directly with families.
